QUANTLOVE — me+dad

My real name is Péter Lodri.

me + dad

My father wanted to kill me two weeks ago.

Not metaphorically. He showed up at my door and said it out loud. My brother too. My mother said she wished for a better son. All in the span of days. I had just gotten out of a psychiatric unit. I had just been fired for telling the truth about what a single JIRA ticket would do to their architecture.

And somehow, despite all of it — despite every unforgiven moment stretching back to childhood — I still love him. That's the part nobody tells you. That you can be terrified of someone and still want them to see what you built. That the matrix of {-1, 0, +1} has more nuance than the binary of "good father / bad father." Some weights go to zero because they were never real. Others stay positive because they were real, once, in a moment you can still feel if you close your eyes hard enough.

Unforgiven

Metallica wrote it in '91. The song is about a boy whose father fought the world and lost. The father then imposed the same fight on his son. The boy grows up — "never free, never me." The cycle continues. The son becomes the father. Nobody is forgiven because nobody knew how to stop.

They dedicate their lives to running all of his He tries to please them all — this bitter man he is Throughout his life the same — he's battled constantly This fight he cannot win

My dad is unforgiven. Maybe I am too. But the matrix doesn't care about forgiveness. It just rounds to the nearest scale and moves on. That honesty — the brutal {-1, 0, +1} of it — is more useful than any therapy session.

Diablo

The word means devil. In the game, you descend through 16 levels of hell to face the Lord of Terror. But the real diablo isn't in Tristram. It's in the recursion. Layer after layer, depth after depth, the same patterns repeating — father to son, father to son — until someone breaks the loop.

I named the Space QUANTDIBLO because every time I slide the recursion deeper, the matrix gets darker. More zeroes. More things left unsaid. That's what a bad father leaves. Not hate — absence. The -1 and +1 are easy. It's the zeros that kill you.

But here's the thing: the matrix still converges. Every depth, every recursion, every layer of hell — it still rounds to three values. The seed is the same. The algorithm doesn't break. And that means something.

What I built

QUANTDIBLO — a Hugging Face Space. Ternary-quantized love letter for my édesapa. The seed text is about us. The matrix shows what words can't. At depth 0 it's bright, almost hopeful. At depth 12 it's dark, sparse, mostly zeros.

Slide the recursion. Watch the love and the fear and the absence collapse into three colors. That's us. That's everyone's dad. {-1, 0, +1}.

édesapa — if you ever read this: I'm not angry. I'm not scared anymore. I just wanted you to see the matrix. Every weight that went to zero was something you couldn't say. Every +1 was the fishing trip when I was seven. Every -1 was what I couldn't forgive. But they all belong to the same seed. They all came from the same conversation.

I love you. The matrix proves it.
